Abstract
From the very first centuries, faith and its issues have been at the focus of theologians, jurists and hadith scholars. The theologians and jurists generally consider heartfelt acknowledgment along with verbal confession to be sufficient in the realization of faith. On the contrary, "Ashab al-Hadith" scholars, in addition to the above mentioned conditions, have considered practicing the faith as a condition for the realization of faith. Ibn Taymiyyah, claiming to follow the scholars of the first century, has accepted the definition of the "Ahl- hadith" in the matter of conditionality and practicing the faith, has elaborated on the issue of practicing. With a new interpretation of the Salaf's sayings, he has considered his opponents as heretics and in some cases outside the religion. He believes that some deeds are blasphemous and annul the faith and also there are some other deeds that will damage the faith such as major sins. In the present study, by gathering library information and analyzing the content, we can conclude that Ibn Taymiyyah's view is generally true in this case.
