Studying the Wahhabi approach on lack of approximation between Muslim sects

Approximation between Islamic sects is one of the influential factors in the realization of Islamic civilization. There are many obstacles to approximation and Islamic unity. One of the most serious obstacles are those who openly oppose with issue of approximation. These opponents are not unanimous, some have fundamental conflicts and some have superficial conflicts. Wahhabism is the only sect that fundamentally disagrees with the supporters of approximation between Islamic sects. The root of this conflict lies in Wahhabi approach toward the issue of monotheism. The Wahhabi view on monotheism will lead to excommunication of both Sunni and Shia, considering them worse than the pagans. This Takfir ideology will cause that the Wahhabi consider the society ignorant. This ideology will lead to opposing to the Islamic unity. This essay will consider this issue from different perspectives.
