Contemporary Wahhabis' Claims about Abrogation of Narrations Concerning Permissibility of Swearing in the Name of Anyone other than Allah

Abstract
One of the most important justifications presented by Wahhabis about traditions that suggest permissibility of swearing in the name of anyone other than Allah is abrogation of such traditions. Such a claim by Wahhabis is unfounded and baseless. For this reason, the present article makes a critical analysis of Wahhabi arguments. Thus, relying on sources which are authentic according to Wahhabism as well as on the words of some of its prominent scholars, it seeks to prove that the claim about the abrogation of the narrations on the permissibility of taking oath in the name of an entity other than God, is opposed to the fundamental principles of Wahhabism and the principle of superiority of the predecessors over the later generations of scholars. As well, not only Wahhabism does not have any proofs for their claims but also the consequences of their opinion are utterly destructive.
