Abstract
One of the Muslims beliefs is appealing for aid from the Holy prophet (PBH) and the saints. Majority of Muslims resort to the saints when facing the life problems and appeal for aid from them. The Wahhabi sect, resorting to the verse 5 in Ahqaf Surah, opposed with this doctrine and invaded the other Muslims. The Wahhabi equate the Muslims act in appealing to the saints to pagans worshiping many Gods in the Holy prophet's period. They maintain that all Muslims doing this act are polytheist. While, comparing the pagans in prophet's time and Muslims resorting to the saints is nonsense and there is a far difference between them. The Wahhabi interpretation from this verse is uncommon and famous Muslim interpreters disagree with that. Furthermore, appealing to the saints has been common in Salaf period and they resorted to the Saints in many cases.
