Abstract
The present study classifies the discourse confrontation of the Salafi current with the Sunnis in a logical framework, using the text-based method. The following are the most characteristics of Salafi discourse that put it in clash with Sunni mainstream: The apparent meaning of texts precedes the interior meaning, methodology of interpreting the religious texts and "ijtihad". These implications of Salafism lead to a reductionist, radical and violent tendency of religion and put it in opposition to the discourse with Sunnis. Thus, the research findings show that the most important axes of Salafi discourse confrontation are as the following: methodological contradiction, incorrect interpretation of monotheism, prohibition, banning the "Taghlid", one-sided controversy of literalism over rationalism, Takfir and apostasy. Furthermore, the Salafi discourse expands the realm of Shirk and bans visiting the tombs. They burn the historical sites.
